What is a Topographic Survey?
Topographic Surveys, also commonly known as land surveys, are used to identify and map the contours of the ground and existing features (i.e. trees, buildings, roads, pavements, utilities etc) for a given area of land. If the purpose of the survey is to serve as a base map for the design of a building or road, it may also be necessary to show perimeter boundary lines and the lines of easements. The amount of data collected and displayed for any given survey will depend on the cleint's requriements.
Can you provide site areas and volumes?
Yes, we can provide highly accurate site areas which can be of assistance when purchasing land. We can also accurately set out the areas if there are any boundary disputes or if land titles are divided. If you require the volume of material measured we can provide it, we commonly undertake stockpile surveys and have extensive experience on landfill sites.
Who are Beacon Land Survey's main clients?
We cater for a large range of clients including aggregate companies, architects, local authorities, planning consultants and the general public, offering the same dedication to prompt, professional and efficient service for each and every customer. Will data you supply be compatible with my computer system?
Beacon Land Surveys specialise in the provision of measured survey data in digital format for use in CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems as used by 90% of architects, engineers and contractors right across the globe. We use the LSS 3d modelling software from McCarthy Taylor Systems, which allows us to model 3d terrain surfaces, and design landforms and carry out volumetric analysis. If you need data in a different format then we are more than happy to oblige, just ask!
